Clear answers before you request service
Frequently asked questions.
Learn what exterior headlight restoration can address, what the service includes, how mobile appointments work, and when repair or replacement may be the better option.
Restoration and eligibility
Decide whether exterior lens restoration is likely to fit the condition you see.
What exterior lens problems can restoration address?
Restoration can address eligible oxidation, yellowing, weathering, and surface haze on the outside of a plastic headlight lens. It preserves the existing assembly when the lens has enough sound material and the remaining components are working properly.
How do you decide whether my headlights are eligible?
Every service begins with an exterior lens assessment. A suitable candidate generally has enough sound lens material to restore, an intact housing and mounting points, working lighting components, and no persistent internal water intrusion. Severe exterior deterioration or a previous failed restoration may require additional assessment before service is confirmed. If exterior restoration is not appropriate for your headlights, we will explain that before work begins.
What problems cannot be corrected by this service?
Headlight restoration treats the exterior lens surface only. It cannot correct internal haze, moisture, failed seals, cracked or broken lenses or housings, damaged mounting points or reflectors, or bulb, wiring, ballast, module, and other electrical problems. Those conditions may require repair or replacement.
What results should I expect?
Results depend on the starting condition, depth of damage, lens material, and previous work. Restoration may produce a cleaner, clearer-looking exterior lens and improve exterior clarity when the rest of the assembly works properly, but it does not promise a factory-new appearance or an exact visibility or light-output improvement.
Service, pricing, and protection
Confirm the service scope, price, timing, and protective finish before requesting a visit.
How much does headlight restoration cost?
Car service is $129, and SUV/Truck service is $149. Standard pricing covers one eligible headlight pair. Contact us to confirm the condition, price, and appointment details for Single Headlight Restoration. Severe exterior deterioration or a previous failed restoration may require additional work and a different price. Any difference will be explained and approved before work begins.
What is included in the standard service?
The standard service includes an exterior lens assessment, deep cleaning and multi-stage exterior correction, professional polishing, restoration of one eligible headlight pair, application of a professional protective finish, and a review of the completed work.
How long does service take, and can fog lights be added?
Restoration of one eligible headlight pair takes approximately 60 minutes. Fog Light Restoration for one eligible fog-light pair can be added for $20; the add-on adds approximately 20 minutes, making the combined appointment approximately 80 minutes.
What protects the lenses after restoration?
We apply a professional protective finish to support the restored exterior surface against continued sun and weather exposure. It is not presented as permanent protection or a guarantee of a specific lifespan.
Mobile service and appointments
Know what the mobile visit requires and what happens after you send a request.
Where is mobile service available, and what kind of location is needed?
Get Clear Lights provides mobile service throughout Tyler, Texas, and surrounding East Texas communities. We confirm the service address, access, and working conditions before the appointment. The vehicle must be available in a safe, appropriate, and accessible place with enough room to work around the headlights. The address, access, and working conditions are reviewed before the appointment is confirmed.
Is my appointment confirmed as soon as I submit a request?
No. An appointment request remains pending while Get Clear Lights reviews the requested time, service details, and service location. You will receive confirmation before the visit is considered booked.
How does payment work?
Payment is collected in person for the confirmed vehicle service and any approved add-on. The appointment-request form does not collect online payment.
What should I do if I have a concern after the service?
Contact Get Clear Lights so we can inspect the completed exterior work and address service-related workmanship concerns when appropriate. This policy covers the exterior restoration work; it does not cover internal, structural, or electrical conditions that require repair or replacement.
